Can The Hectic Life of a Mom Be Simplified - in under 4lbs?
Yes it can!
I have always loved tools and technology that makes managing my life easier. As a military wife and mother, my career has always had to be flexible, adaptable, and most of all - portable. I need tools that meet these needs. I need small tools that pack a huge productivity punch. The perfect solution? Winning this:
I want an HP Mini 311!
Now how can a simple little laptop help simplify my life you say? Easily. By putting everything I need in one, little, portable, powerful, 3.22lb package. With this wonderful little tool I can:
* Blog anytime anywhere
* Work on my (ever elusive) Masters Degree
* Communicate with my husband when he is deployed
* Keep sane while my kids are hogging the house PC
* Keep my life and business going the next time we PCS
(ie. the next time the military moves us)
* Surf the internet for fun during my downtime
(whenever I find any)
* Finish this book while at baseball/football/whatever
sport my two boys are playing at the time and become
an awe inspiring fiction writer
Ok. I have lofty goals.
This beautiful piece of technological goodness can help me achieve them. Really! Have you seen the commercials for Windows 7? You can leap tall buildings in a single bound with Windows 7! I love that this laptop comes loaded with Windows 7 - I have been dreaming of ways I can use the snap, shake, and pin to help manage my crazy hectic day. Just look at the way Dara Torres uses hers:
Disclaimer: I in no way shape or form compare my life to how hectic this fabulous five-time Olympian has it (though some days to me it sure feels like it). But if Dara Torres can manage her busy life with it - I am sure it can handle my "military wife/aspiring writer/college student/baseball mom/oh man I have to get dinner on the table/What time is baseball practice?/We're moving WHERE?" life. I bet it can help you get a handle on yours too.
Are you a busy Mom? Would you like to win an HP Mini 311 too? HP, Windows 7, and The Mom Bloggers Club have teamed up to give away 3 of these to random comment posters on contest entrants' blog. Just leave a comment on my blog for a chance to win your very own - good luck!

Hey, Elena! I'm bookmarking your blog! Love your posts. Keep up the great work!
This would be so awesome to win this! you are very generous, Thank you so much!!
This would be so nice for all the blogging related travel I do. My bigger laptop is like lugging lead
Oh how wonderful is the HP Mini! As a blogger I'm facing quite a conundrum because I am techinically inept. I just upgraded my ancient flip phone for a BlackBerry. How fancy do I feel now? I'm still learning about all the social media gadgets but I know that an HP Mini will help me in my endeavors. 3 kids cause my life to be quite crazy. Add a full time job, plus blogging on the side and you've got pure chaos. So, I need the HP Mini to help me be a super-organized social media genius!
This Mini HP would simplify my life and help me to get more organized with my schedules and busy life.
I could definitely use to simplify my life in one compact place. With 2 under 2 life is crazy right now.
Man my life could use some simplifying! I would love to be able to write my blog posts on the go or during lunch breaks. Now if the HP Mini 110 could help me get my daughter to sleep through the night, I would be in LOVE (even more!) p
Oh, how I could use one of these!!
This is my second comment about how I have been wanting one of these so badly - LOL!
I run a small home business and a HUGE portion of that is things like answering emails, uploading photos, writing product descriptions...
I would take my mini out into the backyard with me, to dance class or the neighborhood tot lot.
Spending more time with my kids while still getting some of my workload done would be HEAVENLY!
I'd love to Simplify my life too. Good luck to you.
Good luck to both of us. Clever title.
Just the thought of leaving the kids with my husband, heading to Starbucks and catching up on my blog reading while sipping a mocha has me DROOLING right now! Ahhh, HP, take me away...
I entered also. It would simplify my life by helping me get organized! Wishing you luck... and hoping for some luck myself!
I would love to win one of these. It would simplify my life so much. Good luck!
I also entered and would love to win! I understand about the elusive degree!
Good look to you! And I would love to win one myself!
Yes, I am a busy mom. The HP mini would be a great addition to my hectic life. Besides not breaking the bank, this tiny, under 4lb. computer would not break my back either.
Good Luck!
Good luck to you. I remember my days in the Army and you are so right ~ it is crazy hectic.
I would love to win this HP mini. It would be so portable. I hate lugging around a big old laptop.
Good Luck to you!
It would be so convenient to have a Mini 110 for on-the-go computing, and this one is so pretty.
I would like it because it the the perfect size to take with me wherever I go
Good luck to all those who blogged and commented - I so hope one of you wins! :)
With two tween boys who need to use my computer more and more for legitimate school purposes, I'm finding myself pushed offline. A mini would let me doing my blogging and social media work while letting my boys take turns (or fight) or my computer.
Elena, love the new look you got. The colors are great! Always enjoy reading your blog. Glad you are back in the game!!
